OUR HISTORY
The late Rev. Dr. William C. Hemphill founded The Spiritual Life Fellowship Church, a trans-denominational spiritual community where people come to better understand and experience the Indwelling Presence and Power of God; the Living Spirit Almighty. "Rev. Bill" as he was commonly known, first moved to Covina with his wife Barbara in 1966 and served as the Senior Minister of the Sanctuary of Spiritual Living in Covina (formerly known as The East San Gabriel Valley Church of Religious Science) for 29 years before founding The Spiritual Life Fellowship Church in 1994. Rev. Dr. Bill Hemphill made his transition in 2000.
In support of her late husband's vision, Mrs. Barbara Hemphill continues to serve at Spiritual Life Fellowship Church in the capacity of Board President and Music Director.
In 2007, Rev. Marni Martin became the Senior Minister of Spiritual Life Fellowship Church.
We are a church where people learn about their own Spiritual Nature and discover the creative activity of the Mind of God within them, and, through the power of this Mind, demonstrate a greater Good in their own lives.
The philosophy of Religious Science compliments all religious paths. It is true...there is a power within you that you can use to free your mind, uplift your spirit, heal your body, fulfill you’re heart’s desire and heal the planet.
We choose to call this power God!
